5 Simple Steps to Vibrant Health
Most of us could use a little health boost: for some there is more of a challenge so the outlook may be a little difficult.
It’s often surprising how much difference we can make with tiny little adjustments in our everyday routines though.
- For increased energy, cut your food portions in half and cut out all sweets. Take a good natural supplement such as flax seed or wheat grass to help your system. If at the end of two weeks you don’t feel like a new person, you have my permission to have a relapse and eat yourself into a coma!
- When you walk, whether it’s to visit the bathroom or a trip to the mall, hold your head high and pick up your pace a little so you’re walking faster than you would normally. And don’t avoid the opportunity to walk–embrace it. Energizing? I thought so.
- A major cause of health issues today is an acid system: most of the foods we eat every day cause our systems to be too acid. The easiest thing in the world is to adjust your diet to alkalize your system: Slices of fresh lemon in pure spring water are not only delicious, they’ll stop the problem of acidity in its tracks. Eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables (especially leafy salads), eliminate coffee, cigarettes (oh God how stupid archaic to still smoke), milk, dairy & all processed foods and see how your digestive problems melt away.
- Get to bed before 11:00 pm and wake up at least 2 hours before you need to leave for work. This will leave you time to organize yourself, make a nutritious, health-giving breakfast, and maybe even do half-an-hour of yoga before you leave. It’s really true what they say:
- Keep a positive outlook and declutter your mind from negative thoughts and attitudes. This one will help with everything: how you feel, how you look, and how successful you are.
Early to bed,
Early to rise,

Wealthy and wise.

Starting Fresh in a New Year
Setting Yourself Up for Success in 2010
It’s wonderful to begin the New Year fresh, and with a clean slate, so you’re ready to go on and make the most of this wonderful time of opportunity ahead of us. In order to greet your opportunities with the zeal and enthusiasm they deserve, make sure you’re read for ‘em.
Here’s a quick list of things you can do to clean out your body and your energy field:
- First, forgive everyone for every hurt or inconvenience in the past.
- That includes forgiving yourself. Give yourself a chance to start the year with no hidden grievances against yourself!
- If your diet isn’t serving you well, take a decision to do better. But don’t launch yourself onto a strict regimen that you can’t keep up. Give up just 3 things you know are holding you back. How about staying away from fast food, eating at least 2 pieces of fresh fruit every day and making yourself a generous portion of tasty salad each day. Just those steps will take you quite a way closer to vibrant health.
- Spiritually you need to do the same thing. Don’t expect miracles but do just 3 things that are going to help you to achieve a higher level of spiritualit in 2010. May I suggest: smile at yourself first thing in the morning and forgive yourself each day. Smile at everyone you meet. Count to ten before you get angry and say something you might regret.
Got Milk?

Let's take a closer look at what we feed our kids!
Think Twice Before You Give Your Kids Milk!
For decades we have been told that milk is good for us: and in its natural state milk is, indeed, one of the most perfect foods for human beings of all ages.
But when Mankind starts to mess with things we get just that: a mess.
First we’re told that our cows need to be treated with antibiotics to protect us. Wouldn’t it make a lot more sense to create an environment where cows were as healthy as they could possibly be? Then they inject them with all kinds of artificial hormones so that they produce more milk, earlier, and for a lot more years than would be normal, no matter what kind of diet they’re getting.
Those hormones get passed on to us through that milk that we drink. And we all know how dangerous hormones that are foreign to our bodies can be–whether they’re real or artificial.
When you look at it in the light of what we know about human physiology and health, it sounds like a recipe for disaster doesn’t it?
The bad new is, IT IS A RECIPE FOR DISASTER!
Essentially, by allowing our food to be contaminated in this way we are setting ourselves up for a complete breakdown in human health. This is no exaggeration.
Today’s commercially-produced milk is NOT good for anyone. And most of us have no idea just how bad it is. As usual, Monsanto is the company that’s responsible for this assault on our freedom and our health.
Here’s a glimpse of the truth that has been deliberately kept from us:

Guided Meditation can help in your quest for self-improvement…

Meditation continues to gain in popularity as we all seek some brief respite from the turmoil of the busy lives we lead. Tranquility is bliss even if we only achieve it for the short time it takes to meditate.
Meditation is difficult for some: The more stress has taken hold of your life the more difficult it may be for you to let go and embrace meditation. But making the effort and taking the time can pay off in terms of increased health and heightened focus for your goals in life.
The keys to successful meditation are the same whether you meditate by yourself or in a guided situation:
- Choose a quiet room where you will have no distractions or interruptions
- For some meditations you may need to sit in a comfortable chair with both feet on the ground, for others you may lie down if you with but make sure that you won’t fall asleep
- Allow plenty of time for your meditation and make arrangements for the family to leave you alone
- If guided meditation, focus on the words and allow them to form an image in your mind
- Allow your mind to remain open to the meditation throughout
You are now ready for a period of relaxation and renewal of energy.
Benefits of Meditation
The benefits that can be had from regular meditation have been known to man for thousands of years. Meditation is known also to all cultures, although you may find it goes by another name: mankind needs periods of introspection, tranquility and recharging, all of which can be found in meditation.
- This Washington Post article on brain research shows how meditation can give the brain a charge–a shot of energy or clarity.
- Wikipedia tells us how meditation can lead to a heightened state of awareness–which we are all surely looking for.
- And here’s an article that explains why Zen meditation can even reduce pain levels.
But don’t stop with these three articles: the Web is full of documented evidence to prove that meditation has a long list of benefits.
Sample Meditation for Cleansing, Renewing Energy
Get comfortable and be aware of your breathing… in…out…in…out
Breathe slowly and deeply and allow your breath to assume a rythm…
As you inhale visualize energy in the form of bright, pure light descending from above your head, down, into your body…
As you exhale visualize stagnant energy flowing down through your spine and into your feet, and then out of your body into the ground…deep into the earth…
Inhale more clear, pure, vibrant energy… in the form of a gold or white light…
Now exhale all that stale energy deep, deep into the earth…
Continue breathing like this for three or five counts and then place your hands whereve you feel you need more energy–let’s say your heart area–and visualize energy flowing through your hands and into your body…
Slowly allow your breathing to return to normal and remain in your calm and relaxed state until you’re ready.
In the coming weeks we will have a series of guided meditations here for you to allow you to develop your meditation practice.
